Getting Your Music On Pandora
Pandora has been around for a long time. They were one of the first internet radio stations for listening to music. They specialize in curating artist radio stations and have traditionally offered a non-interactive music streaming platform. In 2016, Pandora launched Pandora Plus which is an ad-free, non-interactive subscription radio service that offers users the ability to skip more tracks, access stations when they are not connected to the internet and to replay songs. They also offer Pandora Premium, which is a fully interactive streaming service which offers on-demand listening just like Apple Music, Spotify, etc.
This is unfortunately something we cannot guarantee because Pandora does not operate like other interactive digital streaming services. While Catapult will certainly deliver your content to Pandora if you authorize it, Pandora is still very much a human curated platform. That means that actual human music specialists at Pandora decide what content will go live in their platform.
Their team is always looking for break-out independent artists, and they use various information sources to make the determination of whether an artist should be added to their platform (ie: Charts, Blogs, Pandora Listeners, etc.), but again, we cannot guarantee that your content will be approved by their music specialists. Further, Pandora does not currently notify Catapult of whether content has been accepted or not. If approved, the content will simply go live in their platform. So your best bet is to search for your content in their platform and if you don't see it, wait and search later.
This is the easy part! All you need to do is submit your album or single via your Dashboard at Catapult. You'll submit information like the title, artist, street date, etc. Then, you select the stores you want your music sent to and finally upload your audio files and cover art. Our system will then process your music and make sure it's all formatted correctly, and then deliver it to the stores world-wide. It's that simple.
Catapult does not charge any yearly fees or nickel and dime you for each store. Catapult charges only $9 per single or $25 per album which includes distribution to stores like iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, Tidal, Pandora, Rhapsody, eMusic, Groove, Deezer, iHeartradio and many more.
What others are saying about Catapult
"...Where other digital distributor payouts were laughably small, Catapult's were more than fair and actually skewed rates in the artists' favor; imagine that. I'm glad to be associated with these folks. Their payouts are prompt (once a month on the dot) and they are accessible whenever I have questions/concerns, unlike many other faceless corporations whose empty promises of customer service fail once they get your money."Eric Peters - Independent Artist
